This is the 5th set I've bought. My oldest collar and leash are from several years ago and still look like new. Even with frequent dips in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, the color hasn't faded. No fraying, breaking stitches or buckles coming off.

High quality fabric. The latch is good quality but I wouldn't trust it too much if you have a large dog who pulls!
